Astrological Outlook, Week of May 24 - 30
White Owl
24 May 2010
Interesting developments are on tap for this week as the wild planet Uranus enters Aries, the Moon waxes full, and great Saturn turns direct in zodiacal motion. All this after just last weekend, the exact Jupiter-Saturn opposition took place. When strong influences such as these cluster in this way, important realizations take definite shape in mind and outer conditions shift as well. Here’s how it works out.
Monday the Moon, now waxing toward full, sails through the sign of Libra. Attention will turn to social connections and the theme of interaction with key others. Cooperation gets a boost around 2:30 pm EDT when the Moon interacts harmoniously with Mars, allowing for mutual understanding and goodwill. This is a good interval to use for anyone seeking to reach out to others for understanding, acceptance, or favors. It’s a point at which help can be obtained. The day itself promises to be mainly pleasant, with weather to match that theme.
Tuesday is colored by a different hue, for the Moon shall have moved on to Scorpio during sleep time. This day, thoughts and attention turn to the power of determination and resolve, as the motivation to overcome stubborn challenges stirs within. The day is largely productive in this manner, especially from 10 to 2 pm EDT, during which interval many positive adjustments can be made in mind and emotions. This interval is also excellent to dig for needed information and to obtain insights about what’s happening behind the scenes.
As
Wednesday approaches, the Moon is getting closer to exact Full status, which takes place on Thursday night. This growing lunar power gets into a bit of a tangle with sometimes angry Mars on Wednesday, with the greatest intensity around 9 pm EDT. There is consequently a high risk that emotions may be in an uproar this day. A general unsettled feeling is likely to prevail. It will be no surprise if this tension manifests as relationship disturbances. If this happens, a good strategy is to avoid over-reacting. Get more information and think it over, no matter what the troubles may be on Wednesday night.
Then high point of the week arrives. It’s
Thursday with the Full Moon this night, now in Sagittarius and drawing our attention to distant places and themes. This will be a good thing, as it brings perspective and an opening of consciousness. The precise time of Full Moon is 7:07 pm EDT on Thursday, May 27. The day and evening will be conditioned by the signs Gemini and Sagittarius, placements of the Sun and Moon respectively, which means there will be intellectual stimulation abounding in the form of lectures to attend, discussions, thoughts to connect with, and attraction to all studies that call the higher mind into play. Then at 9:48 pm EDT, Uranus enters Aries to stay there for about three months, giving us a foretaste of what it will mean when it enters Aries to stay for about 7 years in 2011. Right away it will show us the power of individual choice, as opposed to the necessity to adapt to surrounding conditions. The theme of adaptation has been strong for the last seven years while Uranus moved through Pisces. Now there will arise a different set of conditions in which individual effort and self-reliance will emerge as more necessary and attractive than was the case with Uranus in Pisces. Both approaches have relevance, but now the pointer of time will signal the Arian way, which means that entrepreneurs, artists, do-it-yourselfers, and inventors will feel power coming their way to pursue their personal visions.
Friday the Full Moon high will still be around in the form of bold thoughts about new ways to forge ahead into imaginative tomorrows. Optimism will run high that the necessary changes can be made. This will appear in sharp contrast to the sobriety and heaviness of heart and mind which prevailed just last weekend under the Jupiter-Saturn opposition, but it is not without some of that perspective. The feeling that challenges can be successfully met will be in the air, but just behind it remains that specter of last weekend’s deliberations. A moment of relief takes place overnight between Friday and Saturday as stress levels drop.
Saturday and
Sunday bring the now waning Moon in Capricorn, plus the Saturn direct station on Sunday. This weekend therefore promises to be somewhat subdued and low key, even if celebrations and social events are in the picture. Expect an emphasis on history, culture, ancestry and respect for tradition. These are important aspects of life, and there is much therefore to experience of real significance this weekend. Here is an excellent time to connect with heritage. Time-honored customs and practices will come to attention. These are the ways posterity passes on to the present the nuggets of worth and value that past generations have identified. It’s worth the time and effort to stay tuned in and dig the message. This is true for both Saturday and Sunday, with a deep emphasis on respect for elders and for the past taking place late on Saturday and into Sunday afternoon. A spot of potentially difficult emotional sensitivity takes place around 3 – 4 pm EDT on Sunday, as the Capricorn Moon opposes Venus in Cancer, causing a strong awareness of distance where there might have been closeness and a consequent emotional need. In a few hours this intensity drops off, as the weekend winds down with the waning Moon in Capricorn trine Mercury in Taurus, bringing peace, good common sense, and normality to the later hours of Sunday.
