Astrological Outlook, June 7 - 13
White Owl
7 June 2010
Would anybody be interested in a breath of fresh air? After weeks of heavy concerns and fractured social relations, we could all use a positive upbeat interval. This week promises just that, with only a few downsides to somewhat muddy the picture. Mostly, it’s all good.
The nature of the goodness flowing forth this week is brought to us by the planets Jupiter and Uranus. Every fourteen years or so, these two planets appear from the perspective of Earth to be positioned in the same degree of the zodiac. That’s an arrangement which astrologers refer to as a conjunction. As centuries of astrological observation have proven, the conjunction of any two major planets is a moment of importance to world events and personal life.
This week, Jupiter and Uranus make a conjunction at 0 degrees of the sign Aries. This arrangement signifies that major new energies are on the influx, for the conjunction phase is the beginning of a new fourteen year Jupiter-Uranus cycle. These new energies flowing from the rebirth of this cycle will affect both nations and individuals. The exact nature of the effect depends on many factors, but in a general way, it can be said that this strong influence from Jupiter and Uranus will stimulate the will to improve one’s lot and to be inventive or innovative in finding better avenues by which to survive and thrive. Independence will be a key value espoused by events and feelings this week, for Aries (where Jupiter and Uranus conjoin) deals with the sense of individuality. So does spunky Uranus, one of the planets involved. The other planet involved is large Jupiter, which serves astrologically to amplify and expand anything it touches. Jupiter now in Aries will enlarge upon the themes of Aries, a fire sign bursting with vitality and a can-do spirit.
In simple terms, what this means is that this week we will all feel a new zest or enthusiasm for living. This will come from within ourselves as a natural response to astrological activation. However, we will also see this in action on the outer level, where we will note and observe external events which will invite and allow for the exercise of individual initiative. For individuals who hold self-sufficiency and independence as the highest of metaphysical values, this week will bring confirmation in the form of a public articulation of these values as central to a well-functioning national economy. Entrepreneurs, independent contractors, the self-employed, and those with unique skills or aptitudes will all profit directly from this new wave of energy coming into manifestation at this time. Further, this wave of energy will produce inspirations and visions this week of how to promote oneself and one’s talents and visions. Then the wave of energy itself will continue to power us forward for a good seven years into the future. So this week can truly be the beginning of great things, especially for those who are ready to take personal initiative. There will be excitement in the air and a positive outlook. “Got hope” will make perfect sense where in the past few years it has often not.
Tuesday and Thursday are key days this week, with strong power to produce new workable ideas and situations for those who need them. However, late Tuesday and all day Wednesday finds matters obscured and muddled, as Mercury squares Neptune and makes for uncertainty.
Late Thursday and all day Friday are also times to watch out for. Peevish Mars is squared by yappy Mercury, making many things be said which ought not to be, with irritation levels sky high. Saturday brings the New Moon at 7:15 am EDT in the 21st degree of Gemini, stimulating the power of curiosity and the need to learn, piggy-backing on the Mercury-Mars square to bring much intensified intellectual drive. And then the weekend is helped to be peaceful by sextile between Venus and Saturn, which will help to smooth over the ruffled feathers caused by the Mercury-Mars square which colored Thursday and Friday.
All in all, this week holds much promise. It is true that some people will react to the energies of this week with extreme demands for personal freedom and that some nations may react with a bellicose rattling of swords, but on the whole, the powers of this week look encouraging for the individual person. The main thing to be gained this week is a renewed sense of interest in life and possibilities and a rekindling of the spirit of adventure. From this, much goodness for both society and the individual may come.
